Sales & Use Tax Practitioners

 

Practitioners maintain flexible hours in the comfort of their home leveraging the skills and professional designations that they worked hard to obtain and wish to maintain. Practitioners can choose their workload – some choose to work full-time while others choose to work a part-time schedule.

TaxConnex is seeking Sales & Use Tax Practitioners (Independent Contractors) who will provide our clients with the highest level of customer service and professionalism in the sales and use tax outsourcing market. Practitioners will provide sales and use tax services on a monthly basis for clients of TaxConnex.  Activities performed by Practitioner will include proactive communication with Client, timely response to Client’s specific sales and use tax questions and requests, the monthly translation and import of client sales and use tax data, application of eligible credits, standard and customized report preparation, review of reports, preparation of a monthly cash request, communication to TaxConnex of cash due from Client, timely transmittal of accurately prepared sales and use tax returns to TaxConnex and jurisdictions in accordance with the Client tax calendar, reconciliation of Client’s GL, and satisfactory resolution of all sales and use tax-related matters (audits, notices, customer inquiries…) on behalf of Client.  Additional services may be contracted by the Client and will be communicated by TaxConnex to Practitioner.  The practitioner shall fulfill any other duties reasonably requested by TaxConnex and agreed to by the Practitioner.

 

Requirements


Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Master’s Degree in Business Administration. CPA, CMI, or 7+ years S&U Tax Compliance Experience. *Sales tax experience is not necessary as TaxConnex will train the desired Practitioner and provide tax technical support. Ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial and owner mindset.  


Pay

Practitioners are required to sign a Practitioner Agreement with TaxConnex that, among other things, establishes the revenue share for each client that Practitioner serves. Specifically, the client is contracted to TaxConnex for a certain scope and fee; and the Practitioner receives a portion of this fee according to their Practitioner Agreement.

Office Equipment and Software


Practitioner shall have a suitable secure office arrangement and equipment to begin serving clients on behalf of TaxConnex, including as follows:

  • High speed internet connection
  • Active office or cellular telephone
  • Laptop with minimum i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 320GB Hard Drive
  • Software including Windows 7 or Windows 8 Professional and MS Office 2010; MS Access 2010 may be required
  • Adobe pro software (note, other software and application access provided)
  • Printer, scanner, fax capabilities
  • Daily computer back-up of all folders, files, and data related to Company clients and activities
