HR Generalist & Recruiter

Position Summary: 

TaxConnex is seeking to add a HR Generalist & Recruiter to our continually growing team. This would be a critical member of the TaxConnex Operations Team and a major contributor to the company's success. The role is a combination of HR Generalist and Recruiting functions and will report to the COO.   

As HR Generalist you will be in charge of on-boarding new employees and contractors, maintaining contractor agreements and pay schedules, assisting the COO with employee benefit management and negotiations, and maintaining the employee handbook. A successful HR lead will assist with ensuring a great work environment and employee success.

As Recruiter you will help attract, interview and hire great employees. A successful recruiter will collaborate with the department managers on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs. You should be able to attract candidates using various sources, like social media networks and employee referrals. Ultimately, the responsibility of the Recuriter is to ensure our company attracts, hires and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline. 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Onboard new employees and contractors to become fully integrated
  • Manage employee benefit program
  • Maintain physical and digital files for employees 
  • Assist in creating job descriptions
  • Screen candidates resumes and job applications 
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule
  • Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Promote company's reputation as "best place to work"
  • Facilitate performance review process 

Position Requirements

Experience and Education 
  • Bachelor's degree in business, HR or relevant field
  • 3-5 years experience in a recruiting role
  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
