Louisiana Adds Taxing Jurisdiction

Are you a vendor in Louisiana? If so, be advised that a new taxing jurisdiction has been created in Iberville Parish (City of Gabriel) called The University Club Center Economic District (UCC EDD).

Effective April 1, 2015, all dealers must charge 7.666% sales and use tax rate on all sales, leases, rental, and repair transactions of tangible personal property that is delivered or consumed within the UCC EDD boundaries. The UCC EDD is located on Highway 30, in between the addresses of 655 and 835 Highway 30, St. Gabriel, LA 70776. (Iberville Parish Important Notice)

The new rate is effective on the Iberville Parish Sales and Use Tax Report with the addition of Column D (7.666%) and retaining Columns A (5.000%) and B (5.666%). Current taxpayers should have received a revised form and a copy of the “Important Notice” from Iberville Parish dated March 5, 2015.
